Abstract:Most of the insect behavior has been considered as the instinctive behavior, however, in currently studies have shown that most of the insects have striking learning and memory capacity, and exhibit excellent adaptation performance to the environment. And these researches are mainly taken the associative learning and memory of dual sensory channel paradigm. The dual sensory channel paradigm study has played an important role in the research of the underlying neural mechanism of learning and memory. This paper mainly review the recent progress in the research of learning and memory in insects, and focuse on the dual sensory channel paradigm that used in the study of insect associative learning and memory. It is scientific meaningful to future studies of the neural mechanism and fuction of associative learning and memory in insects .
