Abstract：Aquatic insects in paddy fields play an important role in the rice ecosystem. The niche distribution, sampling technologies and collecting methods used in quantitative and qualitative research on aquatic insects in rice fields are described in detail. It is hoped that this information will provide better technical support for further studies of aquatic insects in paddy fields.
