Classification of the Ips pests intercepted in Chinaon pines imported from USA

Abstract:

Information on Ips intercepted by China Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) on pines imported from USA from 2010 to 2015 is summarized. A key to species (adults only) is provided for 12 species, and the main morphological characteristics of Ips borealisI. calligraphusI. confususI. duplicatusI. grandicollisI. montanusI. paraconfususI. perturbatusI. piniI. plastographusI. sexdentatus、and I. typographus, are provided. The results provide a useful reference for the quarantine and classification of these pests.
