Abstract:
The results showed that neither 40 mg/kg spinosad nor 1 000 and 3 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B influenced sugar ingestion for 3-d-old oriental fruit flies. With distilled water control and malathion as control, 40 mg/kg spinosad and 1 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B did not affect the regurgitation ratio of both females and males significantly, whereas 3 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B affected it significantly. When treated with 40 mg/kg spinosad or 1 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B, there was no difference in sugar ingestion for 6-d-old oriental fruit flies compared with distilled water. The difference between treated with 3 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B and distilled water was significant for females and not significant for males, but no difference compared with malathion. Neither 40 mg/kg spinosad nor 1 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B affect the regurgitation ratio significantly, but 3 000 mg/kg Phloxine-B had significant effect on both females and males.
