Ultrastructure, type and distribution of antennal sensilla of Assara inouei Yamanaka were studied with scanning electron microscopy. The antennal sensillas were classified into 9 types, including trichodea sensillaⅠ, trichodea sensillaⅡ, chaetica sensilla, basiconca sensilla, coeloconica sensilla, cavitata_peg sensilla, auricillica sensilla， squamiformia sensilla and Bohm bristles. The cavitata_peg sensilla was only distributed on the antennae of females. The number of squamiformia sensilla and trichodea sensilla on the tips of male was higher than that of female.
