Abstract:The effects of effective microorganisms(EM) on the ovarian development and oogenesis of bumblebee queens in preoviposition period were assessed by feeding the recoverial bumblebee queens on 60% sugar, 60% sugar+EM, 60% sugar+pollen, 60% sugar+pollen+EM. The result showed that the EM is not able to statistically affect the ovarian development and oogenesis of bumblebee queens in preoviposition period. Despite the EM alone or interactions between the EM and pollen inhibited ovarial development significantly in 2 days (P=0.047, P=0.014), the effects of pollen promoted significantly ovarian development (P=0.000), but EM did not from the 5th day to the 9th day, The oogenesis of bumblebee queen wasn't affected by EM significantly, and the ovarian development level was forced to inhibit by lack of pollen.
