The application of predatory mites in biological control of agroforest spidermites in China

Abstract：It is very important to use predatory mites to control agro-forest spider mites. This paper gives a review of the application of predatory mites to biological control of spider mites in China and includes three parts as follows: (1) Introduction and releasing practices, including introduction and risk assessment, breeding, preservation and transportation, feeding habits and release, predation and reproduction capacity, establishment and dispersal ability, external impact factors; (2) the application status of several main predatory mites; (3) the prospect of release application. The purpose of this paper is to improve the level of study and application of predatory mites in China.
