Abstract:In this paper we report the dispersing flight performance of Macrosiphum (Sitobion) miscanthi (Takahashi), based on study by using NJZ06 yellow pan trap. Numbers of winged aphids caught on the yellow pan were counted with “AphidCounter" which was a software used to automatically count numbers of tiny insects. The experiment was conducted within the wheat field in the suburban area of Beijing. The conclusion showed that most winged aphids were caught in the height of 120 cm from the ground and in the direction of south. And the average numbers were 573.0 per pan and 272.5 per pan respectively. The dispersing flight of aphids was influenced by ecological factors in some degree, but not decisive.
