Abstract:Feeding behavior and feeding amount of Parasa consocia (Walker) on the leaves of Populus spp. were observed. The results showed that the larvae of the first and second generation of P. consocia had 7 and 8 instars, respectively. Average feeding amount per larva of the first and second generations was 167.71 cm2 and 170.49 cm2 respectively, and  the feeding period was 26 days and 27 days, respectively. The feeding amount of the final instar larvae was about 80% of total amount. The 4th and 5th instar of larvae was critical stages for control.
