Abstract:The fecundity difference between the resistant strain (R) and the susceptible strain (S) of Sitobion avenae(Fabricius) was evaluated by constructing life tables. The results revealed that R strain showed developmental disadvantages, including prolonged nymphal duration and shorter adult longevity, as well as reproductive disadvantages such as lower effective fecundity and shorter fecundity stage. Compared the net reproductive rate (R 0) and intrinsic rate of increase (rm) with S strain, the relative fitness value of the R strain was calculated to be 0.5200 and 0.7481, respectively. The imidaclopridresistant strain had obvious reproductive disadvantages compared to the susceptible strain.
