Abstract:The egg shells of seven species of Altica, A. caerulescens (Baly), A. cirsicola Ohno, A. fragariae (Nakane), A. ampelophaga koreana Ogloblin, A. sanguisorbae Ohno, A. viridicyanea (Baly) and A. weisei Jacobson were studied by scan electronic microscope. The result showed that the length of eggs, sculptures and the holes of egg shells were obviously different. The role of morphological structure of the eggs shell on taxonomic position and phylogenic relation and also the relation between the morphological structure and habitation according to morphological characters were discussed.
