Utilization of termite resources in China

Abstract：Termites are worldwide insect pests but they have the value for utilization in many aspects. The current research status and developments were reviewed in this paper. The main contents were the research of termites, nest and the direct usage of commensal organism of nest and fungus garden, Termitomyces albuminosus (Berk.) Heim and Xylaria nigripes, and the indirect usage of the acceleration of natural substance recycle. Improvement of soil physical and chemical properties, prospect etc were also reviewed.
