Abstract: The cuticular hydrocarbon extracted from termites by solidphase microextraction(SPME) was analyzed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The performance of different types of the SPME fiber was evaluated. The results of the GCMS analyses showed that the hydrocarbons of termites was from C9 to C29 Twentyfour constituents were separated and identified. The majority of the components were found to be 11,13-2C26 and 2,4,6-3C27.
