Abstract: The appearance and distribution of sensilla on the antenna of Lasioderma serricorne (Fabricius) were observed with scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the antenna of L. serricorne adults consisted of scape, pedicel and 9 sub--segment flagellum. Nine kinds of sensillum were found in the antenna, including sensillum trichodeum, sensillum chaeticum, sensillum basiconicum(Ⅰ,Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ), sensillum scolopale, Bohm bristle, and sensillum orbiculate. Sensillum basiconicum Ⅳ, sensillum scolopale, sensilla Bohm bristle and sensillum orbiculate were first discovered in L. serricorne. In addition, the structure-function relationship of the sensillum was discussed.
