Abstract:

The summer fruit tortrix moth Adoxophyes orana (Fischer von Rosslerstamm), and the Oriental fruit moth, Grapholita molesta (Busck), in peach orchard were investigated in Linfen City, Shanxi Province during peach growing season in 2006 and 2007 The results showed that both the summer fruit tortrix moth and oriental fruit moth were main pests in peach orchard. But sizes of the populations in these two pests changed between 2006 and 2007 The Oriental fruit moths preferred to stay at shelter of peach tree when they pupated, and they could be induced significantly more numbers by the sugarvinegar liquid versus the sex pheromone. but the Oriental fruit moth was reverse to the Oriental fruit moths. According to the development period and trend toward the sugar-vinegar liquid or the sex pheromone in these two moths, we also discussed the methods of pest   control.
