Supercooling point of the overwintering populations of Corythucha ciliata

Abstract: The supercooling points (SCPs) of two geographical populations (Jingzh ou, Hubei Province; Zhengzhou, Henan Province) of Corythucha ciliata (Say) w as e xperimentally tested. The results showed that the SCPs of 1-day adults and 5-d ay adults were -16.519 ℃ and -21.646 ℃, respectively, in Jingzhou population , an d -17.329 ℃ and -21.617 ℃, respectively, in Zhengzhou population. The SCPs bet ween two geographical populations had no significant difference, but in same geo graphical population, the SCPs between 1-day adult and 5-day adults had signif icant difference.
