Threshold temperature and effective temperature of Laodelphax striatellus

Abstract： The developmental duration of the egg and nymph stages, and of one complete generation of Laodelphax striatellus Fallén were determined under constant temperatures in a laboratory. Threshold and effective temperatures were 10.06， 6.43，10.29，8.08℃ and 102.3，365.2，87.5，552.1 degree days, respectively. Based on these results, 4-5 generations of this insect may occur in Mt. Jining, Shandong Province.
