Abstract: The morphology of sensilla on the antennae of Tetrastichus brontispae Ferrière adult were observed under a scanning electron microscope. Eight distinct types of sensory receptors were found, including sensilla trichodea, sensilla multiporous plate, sensilla chaetica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla auricillica, sensilla mammilliformia, sensilla coeloconica and bhm bristles, of which sensillum trichodeum and sensillum placodeum were both the most numerous and widely distributed. Sexual dimorphism in antenna size and the shape, size, number and distribution of sensilla, was apparent.
