Scanning electron microscopic observation of sensilla on the antenna of male adult Scopula subpunctaria

Abstract： The ultra-structure of the sensilla on the antenna of male adult Scopula subpunctaria Herrich-Schaeffer was observed with a scanning electron microscope. Three types of sensilla were found, trichoid, sensilla squamiformi and sensillum chaeticum. The shape, category, physiological function and distribution of these different types of sensilla are discussed.
