Advances on auditory gene in insects

Abstract：In insects,hearing plays an important part in courtship behaviors,competition,predator detection,and seeking hosts.There are a great of researches of the insect’s hearing focusing on morphology,neurophysiology,and behavioral ecology.A lot of researches on the molecular mechanisms underlying insect hearing were performed to date.There are over ten auditory genes were researched on their structures and functions.The paper presents an overview on auditory gene in insects.
