Abstract:The honeybee is a highly social species Within a colonythe queenworkers and drones perform their own duties and maintain a well-organizedcollective lifeOlfaction plays a vital role in their survival and reproduction Many proteins participate in the chemosensory processes of insectswhich are extremely complex To study the chemosensory mechanism of bees can help us gain a better understandingof their behavior and biological characteristics This paper describes 3 kinds of proteins involved in olfaction in honeybeessummarizes their biochemical characteristicsmolecular structuregene expression and physiological functions
