Advances in research on honeybee olfactory proteins

Abstract：The honeybee is a highly social species． Within a colony，the queen，workers and drones perform their own duties and maintain a well-organized，collective life．Olfaction plays a vital role in their survival and reproduction． Many proteins participate in the chemosensory processes of insects，which are extremely complex． To study the chemosensory mechanism of bees can help us gain a better understandingof their behavior and biological characteristics． This paper describes 3 kinds of proteins involved in olfaction in honeybees，summarizes their biochemical characteristics，molecular structure，gene expression and physiological functions
