The research progress of ovary activation in honeybee (Apis)

Abstract：As an eusocial insects，the honeybee Apis，is characterized by the extreme reproductive divisionof labor． Ovary activation is an important factor for the honeybeereproductive capacity． Factors affecting ovary activation，gene expression involved in ovary activation and the possible role of microRNA in ovary activation of the honeybee were introduced in thispaper． It will provide a basis for the study on the molecular mechanism of the honeybee castedifferentiation and reproductive division of labor．
