Diapause duration is a physiological character, it was determined by diapause intensity or rate of diapause development in specific environment conditions. Diapause intensity or rate of diapause develops commonly measured by the time that the insect terminated diapause under conditions as lowtemperature treating or transformation of photoperiod. This review discusses the influencing factors of diapause duration and its influence on postdiapause biology in insect.
