江苏省昆虫学会起源于1920年成立的六足学会，正式成立于1960年，是中国历史最悠久的省级昆虫学会之一。文章回顾了江苏省昆虫学会的历史，介绍了学会的各项功能和发展成就，同时展望了学会未来的发展方向。
英文摘要： Being one of the earliest provincial-level entomological societies in China, the Jiangsu Entomological Society dates back to the “Six-Legged Society” founded in 1920 and was formally established in 1960. This paper reviews the history of the Jiangsu Entomological Society including its functions and achievements, and also looks forward to the future development of the society.
