英文摘要：This paper summarizes
the excretion rhythm, components and ecological significance of insect
honeydew, and both qualitative and quantitative honeydew research methods,
including chromogenic assay, weighing, colorimetry, oil drop measurement and
the honeydew-clock. Detailed procedures, key points and examples of these five
methods are provided, together with a comparison of their advantages and
disadvantages.
