英文摘要:The takeoff behavior of a berytid bug, Yemma signatus (Hsiao), in free fligh
t was recorded by highspeed camera, and analysized in this paper. In the first
wingbeat cycle of the bug, the ratio of the time of flapdown to the time of f
lapup is 22∶9. In the following 4 wingbeat cycles the ratio decreases grad
ually. In and after the fifth wingbeat cycle the ratio is 1∶1. The takingoff
time (1st-5th wingbeat cycles) of the bug is 43 milliseconds.
