黑翅土白蚁与其它二种白蚁种群间的相容性

中文摘要:将黑翅土白蚁Odontotermes formosanus ( Shiraki) 与另外2 个种群的白蚁按一定比例放置于同一培养皿中观察其斗争情况, 研究黑翅土白蚁与台湾乳白蚁Coptotermes formosanus ( Shiraki) 和黑胸散白蚁Reticulitermes chinensis Snyder 的相容性。结果表明, 实验一开始, 双方的工蚁和兵蚁都立即进入激烈的嘶咬斗争, 在不同配比下, 开始5 min 内的斗争次数均在40 次左右, 5 h 后开始5 min 内的斗争次数陡然下降, 几乎不发生争斗。各种群白蚁在其数量占优势的情况下均表现出显著的斗争优势; 而在双方数量相当时, 黑翅土白蚁工蚁的斗争能力明显强于另外2 个种群的工蚁。结果表明, 自然界中不可能出现黑翅土白蚁与家白蚁和黑胸散白蚁群体的偶然性融合, 黑翅土白蚁很可能在其群体建立的地区中占据优势。
英文摘要:
The compatibility of Odontotermes f ormosanus (Shiraki ) with the formosan subterranean termite Cop totermes formosanus (Shiraki) and another subterranean termite Reticulitermes chinensis Snyder was investigated. Two different termite species were placed in the same culture dish in certain proportion, and their combat was observed. The results indicated that the workers and soliders of both species showed furious aggressiveness immediately. About 40 combats less than 5 minutes were found at the beginning of the combat in all experiments with different proportions, whereas the number of the combats less than 5 minutes decreased sharply, nearly no combat. The species of termite, which was dominant in quantity, showed obvious superiority in combat. When they are equal in quantity, O. formosanus workers were much more aggressive than C. formosanus and R. chinenesis . These results indicated that the occasional mergence of the O. formosanu with C. formosanus and R . chinenesis was impossible in nature, and O. formosanu might hold superiority in the areas where they established their colonies.
