Abstract: toxicity and control effect of Acorus gramineus Soland extract, A. gramineus extract 30% EC and buprofeizin 30% EC, against Nilaparvata lugens a1 were studied. The results show that after being treated with A. gramineus extract for 48 hours, the LD50 of 3rd instar and macropterous females was 0.64 μg/instar and 095 μg/adult. In an indoor potted test, a 30 times dose of A. gramineus extract 30% EC and a 50 times dose of dosage buprofeizin 30% EC showed significant control effect on the 3rd instar, achieving mortalities of 8556% and 96.67% respectively three days after treatment. A field trial showed that the control effect of a 20 times dosage of A. gramineus extract 30% EC and a 300 times dosage of extractbuprofeizin 30% EC were 78.46% and 79.76% respectively after seven days.
