Abstract:Neogreenia sophorica Wu is a new pest of Sophor a japonica L. found in Dongcheng District of Beijing city in 2004 It has one generation per year , and over-winteres as 2nd instar nymphs ( cysts) under bark on stem and branches. One adult female laid 105 eggs on average parthenogenesisly. The hatchability of egg is 47.53%。After settled the first instar nymphse always parasite inside phloem of the trunk above 1m from the horizon and branches that are more than 5 cm in the diameter. Finally, chemical control in dispersion periods nymphs of first instar is suggested.
