The oviposition preference of Bactrocera ( Tetradacus) minax

Abstract:
The selection characteristics of oviposition of Bactrocera ( Tetradacus ) minax ( Enderlrin) was studied on 3 kinds of citrus in the orchard, to understand the oviposition behavior and the temporal changes of oviposition of B. minax . The results showed that B . minax preferred laying eggs on hybrid citrus, and the fruits of 3 kinds of citrus were all seriously infected by B . minax in the north of middle layer on the trees. The research also showed that B. minax preferred ovipositing on the fruits with (3.3±0.2) cm.
