Abstract:Locusta migratoria tibetensis Chen is an important pest of agriculture and animal husbandry in Qinghai- Tibet Plateau. The super- cooling point and freezing point of the L . migratoria tibetensis in each developmental stage were tested. The results indicated that the super- cooling point and freezing point of egg were the lowest among all stages, which was – 22.02and – 16.36, respectively. The super- cooling point and freezing point of 4th instar nymph were the highest among all nymph stages, which were – 6.46 and – 5.05 respectively. So L. migratoria tibetensis overwinters in egg in Ganzi State, Sichuan.
