Damage to an organic apple orchard by the brownmarmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys and its control strategy

Abstract:In recent years, the brownmarmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys (Stål) became to be a key insect pest in apple orchards and a difficulty for the implementation of ecological orchards. The damage rates were 28.8%±4.1%, 23.4%±4.6%和30.8%±3.6% respectively for early, intermediate and late varieties of apple and it was no statistical difference (P>0.05) among them. It discussed the control strategy with emphasis on reducing the stink bug number in the surrounding environment.
