Morphological identification of Bactrocera correcta and Bactrocera zonata

Abstract:This paper reviews the morphological characteristics of Bactrocera ( Bactrocer a) correcta ( Bezzi) and Bactr ocera z onata Saunders, which are similar in external appearance and often intercepted in ports of entry quarantine. B . z onata differs from B . correcta by having the large, oval, black spots on the face and by having the mesonotum all rufous.
