Abstract: Leaf disc test is a universal method in the study of feeding preference of lepidopteran larvae. In this paper, Jermy- lea-f disc- test and its modifications were described. The conditions and limitations of the test were also discussed, including physiological state of the test larvae, the lasting time of larval feeding, the number of discs, and the measurement of disc area.
