Application of colour in insect illustrations.

Abstract：To illustrate insect characters with colour skillfully depends on good knowledge on the nature of colour. It is important to observe delicate change of insect body colour under the guidance of colour change formulae, to analyse and find out the colour trend of each part of insect integument. It is possible to illustrate a trimensional insect on the bidimensional paper , while the colour charatcer and colour balance should be understood sufficiently.
