Phylogeny of the family Fanniidae

Abstract： The family Fanniidae belongs to the suborder Cyclorrhapha in the order Diptera and comprises over 300 species worldwide. The history of the family is reviewed at home and abroad. The studies on groups, phylogenetics and biogeography of the genus Fannia are summarized. The change and combination in the taxonomic status and taxonomic system are outlined for 200 years. In addition, existing problems are discussed.
