Abstract:Based on G-test, Sorensen Classic incidence_based sample similarity index and Jaccard Classic sample similarity index, the composition of arthropod community in 4 representative pine forests were compared in Zhoushan city, Zhejiang Province. The forests had been infested by Bursaphelenchus xylophilus(Steiner et Buhrer Nickle), including mixed stands of Pinus elliottii and Cunninghamia lanceolata, sparse masson pine stands, pure Masson pine stands and mixed stands of P. thunbergii and P. massoniana. Meanwhile, the total species richness of the four forest types was estimated using Chao 1 index and ACE index. The results showed that total 55 141 individuals representing 513 species belonging to 110 families and 15 orders were found in the pooled samples. There was significant difference in the number of families (G3=9.303, P=0.026), the number of species (G 3=57.362,P=0.000), and the number of individuals of arthropod co mmunity (G3=2 767.568,P=0.000), among the four pine forest types. The arthropod community similarity between sparse Masson pine stands and pure Masson pine stands was highest, whereas the lowest similarity was between the two mixed forest stands. The species richness was 586.47 and 634.8±31.5, respectively, estimated by ACE index and Chao 1 index.
