Abstract:Structure of orthopteran communities, correlations between vegetation factors, and orthopteran communities characters in ecologically restored area of Shaanxi Wuqi were studied by means of diversity index, principal component analysis and stepwise regression. A total of 1 155 orthopteran individuals were collected, belonging to 20 species. Three of them are considered as dominant ones: Oedaleus infernalis saussure accounted for 17.58% of the total in number, Pararcyptera microptera meridionalis 15.15%, and Calliptamus abbreviatus Ikonn 14.89%. The variational trend of diversity index by county is Wuqi downtown > Baibao > Zhouwan > Wangwa. By the stepwise regression analysis, there are several vegetation factors, e.g., grasses height diversity, grasses species number, Compositae dominance degree, Gramineae dominance degree and other grasses dominance degree, affect the species and numbers of Orthoptera.
