Abstract：The ant is the dominant group of soil animals in Zhoukou Region with various species, large populations, wide distribution, and remarkable effects on ecological environment. 33 ant species were collected, in this area and belonging to 18 genera and 5 subfamilies. The dominant species are Tetramorium caespitum (L.), Camponotus japonicus Mayr and Crematogaster zoceensis Santschi. In different habitats and areas the species was composition different.
