Abstract: The well known obligate pollination mutualism in figs-fig wasps and yuccas-yucca moths is the most classical example between insects and plants. Many documented cases have provided essential steps toward understanding the mechanism of coevolution in flowering plants and their pollinators. The recently discovered Epicephala moths-Euphorbiaceae trees mutualism shared many similar traits with figs-fig wasps and yuccas-yucca moths associations. In this paper, we present a brief review on the investigations of Epicephala moths-Euphorbiaceae trees association.
