Abstract: Argopistes tsekooni Chen as a new pest was found to infest the plant of Olea ceae in Tai'an, Shandong Province in 2003, which damaged leaves of Ligustrum v icaryi and other Oleaceae plants seriously. Adults damaged on the back of leav es, and larvae fed on mesophyll. It occurred three generations every year in Tai'an, and overwintered in soil, crevice and withered branch. Overwinter adults began to b e active in the middle of April, and the damaging period of three generations wa s the middle of May to the middle of June, the end of June to the end of July an d the first ten days of August to the first ten days of September, respectively.
