Abstract: Adults of Ceracris kiangsu Tsai were attracted by zymolytic human urine and sweet. The attractive activities of three chemicals of human urine, sodium chloride, ammonium bicarbonate and ethanol, towards C .kiangsu adults were investigated with EAG response and trapping test in bamboo forest. The results showed that all the three chemicals could elicit significant EAG values from the antennae of both female and male adults, and the maximum EAG value was evoked by ethanol, the minimum was elicited by sodium chloride. Higher EAG responses of female antennae were observed in response to the three chemicals than male antennae. In field test, attractive activities of the three chemicals and their blends to C. kiangsu adults were not significant, and the concentration of chemicals and the pesticides mixed were the factors that could affect the trapping quantity of C.. kiangsu adults.
