Abstract:
The
development of forest entomology in China has been more than 100 years, and
with the continuous development of new technologies such as molecular
biotechnology, computer information technology, and space remote sensing
technology, researches on forest insects in China have made remarkable
achievements in every branch. Here we summarized the research progress and
achievements of forest entomology in China over the past 10 years in terms of
taxonomy, phylogeny, biogeography, biology, ecology, and pest control of forest
insects. In addition, the developmental trends of forest entomology research in
China in the future are also prospected in this article.
