Genome-wide identification of the Aquatica leii heat shock protein and analysis of their expressions in response to high-temperature stress

Abstract:[Aim] To identify the Hsp gene family of Aquatica leii and quantify its expression in response to high temperatures. [Methods] The Hsp supergene family of A. leii was identified using bioinformatics, and its expression in response to high temperature stress was analyzed using transcriptome analysis. [Results] The AlHsp family contains 45 Hsp family members, including 3 Hsp90, 19 Hsp70, 9 Hsp60 and 14 sHsp genes. The number of Hsp genes expressed gradually decreased in the luminescent organs of different developmental stages. Transcriptome analysis of larvae under high temperature stress showed that AlHsp70-7, AlHsp70-8, AlsHsp17.44, AlsHsp17.49, AlsHsp20.77 and AlsHsp29.38, were induced by temperature stress, and that expression progressively increased with increasing temperature. [Conclusion] At 28 and 32 ℃, the 12 and 13 Hsp genes were significantly upregulated, which suggests that these play an important role in the response to high temperature stress. These results lay a solid foundation for further investigation of the function of the Hsp gene family.
