Abstract:Dictyoploca japonica Moore is one of the important forest pests, which tends to break out and spread in some parts of China. Intersimple sequence repeats (ISSR) were used as molecular markers to detect the genetic diversity of 10 geographical populations of D. japonica. The results showed that 20 ISSR primers identified from 35 could create 299 distinguishable bands, 250 of which were polymorphic. The percentage of polymorphism was 83.61%. The relative distance values between different D. japonica races were 0.231 5~0.414 7. Cluster analyses were performed based on the genetic distance matrix by using UPGMA method, which demonstrated that population differentiation has taken place in D. japonica
