Embryonic development of Gryllus bimaculatus

Abstract:In order to probe into the process of insect embryonic development, we studied the whole embryonic development process of cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus), recording the change on morphology with microphotography everyday. The whole process included 7 phases: egg cleavage, blastula, gastrula, nauplius stage I, nauplius stage II, nauplius stageⅢ, and nauplius stageⅣ. In 14 days, head, antennae, legs, tail, abdomen and dorsal part developed completely, and then the process of embryonic development of G. bimaculatus completed.
