Head morphology and taxonomic characters of Lucanidae

Abstract： The morphological variety is highly complicated in Lucanidae, the various head
is espeically complex, which has caused numorus diagnosis confusions. It is neces
sary to study the head more. In this paper, we introduced the head morphology of
Lucanidae, compared mandible, labrum, maxilla, eye and antenna morphylogically
in typical species and genera, and discussed taxonomic values of these structures.
