Analysis on fauna of Syrphidae in the Beiluohe River basin

Abstract: Insect fauna of the family Syrphidae was surveyed in the Beiluohe River basin in Shaanxi Province, Northern China which is part of the Palaearctic realm of world zoogeographical divisions. 52 species, 21 subfamilies, 11 tribes and 29 genera were identified, including 2 species new to China and 7 new to Shaanxi Province. The percentage composition of the fauna was as follows; the 17 Palaearctic species and 35 Palaearctic-Oriental species identified respectively comprised 32.70% and 67.31% of the all species identified.
