First discovery of Liriomyza trifolii in Taixing county of Jiangsu Province

Abstract： Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) was first discovered in Jiangsu Province in July 2008. We assessed damage to celery leaves caused by L. trifolii. The nature and situation of damage in different years on different host plants were analyzed by trapping with yellow boards and field surveys of host plants in 2008 and 2009. Some suggestions for the detection and prevention of L. trifolii are provided.
