Abstract：As an insect parasitic nematode，Romanomermis wuchangensis Bao., took a significant role in the biological control of pests. In the article, the biological characteristics, field trials, the mass cultivation both in vivo and in vitro, the biochemistry and molecular biology of R. wuchangensis are summarized. Besides, several proposals are propounded on the studies of R. wuchangensis.
